Short Story Long

Georgia Vasileiou
Community Manager

I’m Georgia, born in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the youngest in a family of five. I studied Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), and during my student years I was an active volunteer in organizations like AUTH University Week, Open House Thessaloniki, and AIESEC.

AIESEC, in particular, was a defining chapter. Over five years, I grew from local roles to becoming Vice President of Operations at the national level, leading a team of over 300 people across operations, marketing, HR, and sales. In 2021, I moved from Thessaloniki to Athens after being selected for the national VP role—a decision that shaped both my personal and professional journey.

After AIESEC, I joined Morphoses as a Tutor, and shortly after the CEO invited me to take on the role of Community Growth & Content Specialist. That role gave me my first real taste of how to connect with audiences through storytelling, content, and engagement—skills that would later become the foundation of my web3 career.

By 2022, my curiosity about decentralized technologies pulled me into the web3 ecosystem. I went to my first ever web3 conference, Devcon in Bogotá, and from there I was hooked. I started attending more events, joined SheFi, kept studying, and met incredible people across the ecosystem. I even joined a DAO, which deepened my interest in decentralization and grassroots community building.

Soon after, I landed my first official web3 role as Community Manager at TAIKAI, the hackathon platform. It was the perfect place to learn, experiment, and expand my network in the ecosystem. And today, at RootstockCollective, I lead community initiatives and manage social media—making sure members feel engaged, valued, and empowered to contribute.
