I just got back from ETHLisbon, and it left me with one of those rare feelings: genuine pride in what we’re building at RootstockCollective.
These kinds of conferences can sometimes feel like a blur of panels, booths, and quick catch-ups, but ETHLisbon was different. For me, it was less about “being there” and more about how we showed up. We were actively contributing, listening, and collaborating. Every conversation I had, whether it lasted five minutes or turned into an hour-long deep dive on governance, reminded me of something simple but powerful: community is the backbone of this space.
I met so many people whose energy and curiosity fueled my own, and I want to thank each one of you who took the time to connect. Special appreciation goes to my amazing colleague, Tamara Lerner, who made this experience even more meaningful - sometimes, the right teammate makes all the difference.
Rootstock is growing, and that growth doesn’t come from flashy announcements or perfect pitches. It comes from people - builders, dreamers, challengers - who care enough to engage, debate, and imagine what’s possible.
As a personal highlight, I also had the chance to celebrate with the winning team, CrossMind, whose project captured the spirit of innovation that makes gatherings like ETHLisbon so inspiring.
Leaving Lisbon, I carry not just notes and contacts, but a renewed sense of purpose. RootstockCollective isn’t about being in the room - it’s about making the room better, stronger, and more connected. And if ETHLisbon was any indication, we’re on the right path.
