Devcon SEA: A Volunteer’s Perspective on Ethereum’s Biggest Gathering
EVENTWEB3VOLUNTEERING

This year, I had the privilege of being part of Devcon SEA, the biggest Ethereum event to date, and what an experience it was. With 12,500 attendees from 130 countries and territories, over 300 hours of content, and 60% of the audience being first-timers, the energy was unlike anything I’ve seen before in the web3 space.
For me, Devcon wasn’t just about the talks or the numbers (though they were impressive). It was about the people, the excitement of reconnecting with old friends, the thrill of meeting new ones, and the shared curiosity that makes this ecosystem so vibrant.
I had the opportunity to contribute as a volunteer, supporting speaker management alongside Morgane Juan, who trusted me as her right hand throughout the week. Watching the event unfold from behind the scenes gave me a whole new appreciation for how much effort and care go into creating an experience of this scale. It was equal parts inspiring, challenging, and rewarding.
As I look back, what stays with me is the feeling of community. Devcon SEA wasn’t just a conference—it was a living example of collaboration and innovation in action. I’m grateful to have played even a small role in it, and I can’t wait for the next opportunity to contribute.
